Advanced Biomedical Technology Inc. has received two grants from the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) this year. “2019 Biomedical Leap Projects for Cross-industry Integration” and “2019 R&D and innovation-based Industry-academia Collaboration Projects” are most important and prospective government science project in Taiwan for all company which based in Science Park.
From these two projects, ABT Inc. is going to collaborate with plastic & reconstructive surgery department to define and discover the potential treatment strategy and benefits for microtia patients by using ABT’s medical 3D printing total solution.
“ABT’s novel AM system aims at providing a next-generation total solution for medical 3D printing application.“ said Dr. Bruce Chen, CEO of ABT. “Additive manufacturing is becoming an ideal way to help surgeons get curve fitting and complex structure implant. It could save time to process the traditional implant before the surgery, especially for the implant will affect the appearance shape of patients.” The government grant could help us collaborate with doctors and find out the best way to link customization service with the hospital.
Advanced Biomedical Technology Inc. (ABT Inc.) is a start-up located in Hsinchu Science Park who specialized in developing medical-grade material and service for medical 3D printing applications. Focus on providing realizable different medical grade 3D printing material and one-stop shop medical implant printing service to clients.
Advanced Biomedical Technology Inc., the first company in Taiwan, receives the FDA-announced Device Master File registering for biodegradable 3D-printing materials.
Advanced Biomedical Technology Inc. receives Device Master File (MAF) acknowledgment letter from FDA of the MeDFila® PCL-Ceramic 3D printing filament.
Advanced Biomedical Technology Inc. has successfully submitted a Device Master File to the Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH) at the FDA for MeDFila®, their additive manufacturing (AM) PCL-Ceramic printing filament and received an Acknowledgment letter from the FDA confirming submission filing. For the medical device manufacturer, this MAF is now available for reference and review at the FDA.
“This MAF brings the MeDFila® another step closer to becoming the material of choice for medical 3D printing application and custom personal implant,” said Dr. Bruce Chen, CEO. “We will continue to deliver different composite material for medical 3D printing, which is a huge and growing market.”
Advanced Biomedical Technology Inc. shall provide MAF authorization letter on customer requests for their FDA’s review in the context of their product registration.
“PCL has been approved by the FDA and offers a suitable material for 3D printing scaffolds due to high crystallinity and a low melting point. ….. The materials are already in use for a wide range of medical needs, including cranial repairs, screws to fix bone fractures, systems with sustained-release mechanisms, and already for use as a 3D printing matrix for hydroxyapatite scaffolds. PCL is also a bioabsorbable material that is deemed exceptionally safe…..”
Due to high integration of new technology and biomaterials composite, There are more and more new preclinical animal study and human case study for distinct indication. For better bone integration with biodegradable polymer and ceramics mixture. Our MeDFila® PCL series offer alternative medical grade filament for such research topic and easier to bridge to product realization( or commercialization). Welcome all researcher from industrial and academic for further collaboration. For more information about PCL series filaments, please visit MeDFila®.

The world leading chemical company head into AM field with a strategic partner. It’s shown the great and bright future with AM integration with raw materials supplier. And we both find the image processing and materials property are synergized for better application. See the news”Optimizing materials and software for 3D printing”
As a medical-grade 3D printing material provider, we believe this kind of cooperation will become more and more important, especially in medical application territory.
Additive manufacturing (AM) has become popular and significant potential as a fabrication method in creating different type of scaffold for tissue engineering.A researcher could easy to create a proper structure for a specific purpose by 3D printing. However, to choose a right material with good quality is very important for a successful research. MeDFila is a high-quality biodegradable 3D printing filament as an ideal material to make your scaffold for your tissues engineering research.
Additive Manufacture (AM) process had become popular in medical fields. Especially in the orthopedic field. Our filaments are design for those who are looking for medical-grade 3D printing filament to apply their idea in medical application. To know more about MeDFila please visit MeDFila.
