Advanced Biomedical Technology awarded Taiwan Government Grant (FY2019-2020)

Advanced Biomedical Technology Inc. has received two grants from the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) this year.   2019 Biomedical Leap Projects for Cross-industry Integration and 2019 R&D and innovation-based Industry-academia Collaboration Projects are most important and prospective government science project in Taiwan for all company which based in Science Park.

From these two projects, ABT Inc. is going to collaborate with plastic & reconstructive surgery department to define and discover the potential treatment strategy and benefits for microtia patients by using ABTs medical 3D printing total solution.

ABTs novel AM system aims at providing a next-generation total solution for medical 3D printing application. said Dr. Bruce Chen, CEO of ABT.   Additive manufacturing is becoming an ideal way to help surgeons get curve fitting and complex structure implant. It could save time to process the traditional implant before the surgery, especially for the implant will affect the appearance shape of patients. The government grant could help us collaborate with doctors and find out the best way to link customization service with the hospital.

Advanced Biomedical Technology Inc. receives Device Master File (MAF) acknowledgment letter from FDA of the MeDFila® PCL-Ceramic 3D printing filament.

Advanced Biomedical Technology Inc. has successfully submitted a Device Master File to the Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH) at the FDA for MeDFila®, their additive manufacturing (AM) PCL-Ceramic printing filament and received an Acknowledgment letter from the FDA confirming submission filing. For the medical device manufacturer, this MAF is now available for reference and review at the FDA.

“This MAF brings the MeDFila® another step closer to becoming the material of choice for medical 3D printing application and custom personal implant,” said Dr. Bruce Chen, CEO. “We will continue to deliver different composite material for medical 3D printing, which is a huge and growing market.”

Advanced Biomedical Technology Inc. shall provide MAF authorization letter on customer requests for their FDA’s review in the context of their product registration.

New office for Advanced Biomedical Technology Inc, in Hsinchu Science Park

Advanced Biomedical Technology Inc, (ABT) announced that its office in Hsinchu Biomedical Park, which was first opened in 2016, has now relocated to a larger facility in the Hsinchu Science Park.
